In 1986, Jack Grisham, vocalist of T.S.O.L., and Greg Keuhn, keyboardist for the same band, created a band called The Mensclub. The group was a "lounge act" that existed between Grisham's post-T.S.O.L. bands Cathedral of Tears and Tender Fury. Now, Grisham has stated that although the band has never released anything, he will make the group's demo recordings available. The release will be out (fittingly) on the Burger Records spin off label, Wiener Records.
Grisham said:
"Greg Kuehn and I created this ultra lounge band in '86 called ' the Mensclub'. Stewie [Teggart] loved it. He'd always tell me to ditch the Punk-rock and get on the pop tip but it never played out. Anyway, Mr. Teggart will be happy to know that after 28 years Weiner records is doing a limited cassette release of our 6 song demo. Put on your cocktail jacket and get ready to imbibe."
T.S.O.L. is going on a tour this fall with the Damned.
