!WARNING!
Well recently I had attended the "Mark, Tom, & Travis Show." Thats the Blink 182 tour with Bad Religion, & Fenix TX for all you who are unaware. Anyways, I arrived at the arena, and I wasn't sure if I was going to see a punk band or Brittney Spears. There were more teenie boopers than a sale at Old Navy, it was sad. I entered the venue shortly after Fenix TX began their set, and it seems as though a lil mainstream success has affected them in a big way! They were nothing compared to what I seen at a local club only months ago, yet another depressing moment. Then came punk rock legends Bad Religion, the highlight of my night. I think my $25 dollars was well spent on just them. I was very impressed with their set. I guess I'll get to the point of this article. I gave Blink 182 their chance, i let them slide on the MTV deal, and TRL. However they have gone to far. A big screen TV shown on them, or showing a movie the entire set! Telling the fans (or so called "fans") that they kept the ticket prices low! Leaving for the encore and playing pop-hit "The Thong Song!" Selling show programs for $10! Obsessing over some 12 year olds chest! Performing another MTV sensation "Genie In A Bottle!" These aren't exactly punk moves, and they still claim to be punk a band, they need to get over the label, and admit they are just another sappy alternative band.
