Famed post-hardcore stompers The Cows are set to reunite. They will once again play the stage at Grumpy's Bash 15 (the annual festival held by Tom Hazelmyer of Amphetamine Reptile Records). The show will take place on July 11, 2015 at Grumpy's in Minneapolis. The lineup includes Shannon Selberg, Kevin Rutmanis, Freddy Votel and Hammerhead's Paul Sanders, filling in for guitarist Thor Eisentrager. The band is billing themselves as "The Cowz."

Hazelmeyer stated:

"Three out of four original members is certainly a better percentage than most 'reunions,' but in their infinite weirdness -- since Hammerhead's Paul Sanders is stepping in for Thor Eisentrager on guitar -- they wanted to delineate from the previous state and time. Doing so with a Z is trademark Cows slapstick though. That they draw from inside the old AmRep family lineage makes the difference even more blurred in my opinion. But with the Cows it's always been their own rodeo… Of course they're not gonna do it easy,It's a one-off for now. No plans for touring at present."

Other bands playing the fest include The Melvins, Run West Run, Hammerhead, Le Butcherettes, Hepa-Titus, Gay Witch Abortion. Hazelmyer will also be exhibiting his art pieces.
