This morning Punknews is pleased to debut the news about a whole mess of releases coming soon from No Idea Records . Over the next few months, the label will release nine(?) different albums, including brand new releases and some reissues. On top of that, there are plans for many more releases, some of which are already being recorded.
First, the band that defines 'Orgcore, Hot Water Music, will reissue two of their records. Finding the Rhythms has been re-mastered by Dave Eck at Lucky Lacquers. The release will be a double LP or single CD. The art will feature large versions of the (missing) original paintings as well as some never before seen images. Also, Live at the Hardback will be remastered and will have a large booklet, some live photos of the band, and liner notes by the band.
Next, Ship Thieves, formerly known as Chris Wollard & the Ship Thieves, will release a new ten-song album in late summer. In case you were wondering, the band still has their long-running lineup, including Chris Wollard himself.
In June, the label will release Black Tower's The Secret Fire. Black Tower includes members of Crusades, The Creeps and The Visitors.
Punk veterans Radon will have two split EPs coming out. One is with Shallow Cuts and the other is with Japan's Worthwhile Way. Those are expected out later this year.
The label is also hoping to release a three LP I Hate Myself discography. The release will have 25 tracks and No Idea hopes to release it by the end of the year.
Small Brown Bike will also be reissuing some material. The band has not mentioned a release date, but they will re-release The Riverbed. Other records in the works for reissue include Palatka's The End of Irony and a double LP by The Blacktop Cadence. The label will also issue an American version of Germany's No Weather Talks' new record.
In related No Idea news, Billy No Mates have finished recording their next LP, though no release date is scheduled. Dead Bars, Shallow Cuts, Radon, Post Teens and Whiskey & Co are currently working on new albums. Crusades have announced plans to begin recording in late 2015.
