Whippersnapper's website is reporting that the band has broken up. Here's the full text of the message:

"Whippersnapper has been a constant alliance of five friends for the last seven years or so. We've shared everything and have formed a brotherhood that will last a lifetime. The road taught us so much about the world and ourselves. We can never express what all of our shared creativity, expierences, trials, successes, and failures have meant to us. We're all older now and ready to explore other parts of our lives, spend time with loved ones who have been secondplace to our ambitions for so long. My four friends and I made this decision because we'd rather let a beautiful thing end well. To everyone we've met, played with, talked with all over the world, thank you for making these the best years of our lives. It was your passion about music and your willingness to talk about what is real in life that drove us on. Some of you told me things that I'll keep with me forever. All of the great friends we have made and all of the amazing moments we've had make me heavy with grief when dealing with this decision. The future is always a bright promise. Anything can happen and anything you want you can attain. Life is what you make it. Thank you again for listening."
