Today, Punknews is pleased to debut the new EP by Lansing's Fisherking, True Nature.

Influenced by Comeback Kid and Refused, the band rips through the 13-minute release with two fists of spiky hardcore. Taking notes from punk's late '90s growth spurt, the band uses texture as much as they do smashing guitar lines. One minute, they drift away in a ghostly goth wail and the next, they drop back down from the ceiling with a full, screaming attack. This is hardcore that's mean and smart.
