us that Ignite members Zoli Teglas and Brett Rasmussen formed a new band called California United with drummer Jon Barrysmith from The Lonely Kings and guitarist Nik Hill from Jet Lag. The band will feature a select few songs from the old Ignite sideproject the Zoli Band but will focus on new material. The band plans to go into the studio with producer / engineer Cameron webb to record after their current tour. The band will be playing a number of dates in Germany and Hungary. As for the next Ignite album, Rasmussen commented "Zoli and I have over half of the next Ignite cd already written but we really wanted to take this time, while we are in-between labels with Ignite, to pursue this other band that we have been trying to put together for years. Ignite is not breaking up, we are just going to actually focus 100% of our energy on something other than Ignite for the first time in 8 years"
