Family Pet: "Family Pet" (Punknews Exclusive)
by

Today, Punknews is excited to debut the new video by Family Pet.

On their self-titled track, the band takes lo-fi, high energy garage punk and push it to its gnarliest limits. But, that's no coincidence- Colleen Green produced the song. In fact, this jam is so revved up and grimey it gives the Spits a run for their money. Meanwhile, in the video, frontwoman Kate Dwyer channels the bouffant of Tammy Faye Bakker while several computer animation programs have nervous breakdowns behind her- all while addressing the concept of what is "normal" in the modern American household. This song frikkin' RIPS, people.

Speaking to Punknews, the band said said, "We like incorporating pieces fetishizing imagery into our videos. Initially, we were looking for extreme growth 3D videos to use as footage. We stumbled into the world of GAMEGIRLPOWER which is a channel of muscular woman doing everything from dancing, lifting, housework etc. We were able to connect with the artist via DeviantArt, they based a muscle girl after Kate's look and the rest is history!"

Their new release Petty is out October 20. Before that, check out the wigged out video for "Family Pet" below, right now!
