Hit the deck because today Punknews is debuting the new album by THOT.
THOT plays faaaaaar out, experimental rock. FLEUVE opens with a synth heavy noise recording that sits somewhere between the dark haze of Neurosis and the dadaism of Throbbing Gristle. From there, the band is all over the map, at times flirting with the streamlined rock of the White Stripes, embracing the dark romanticism of Bauhaus, and venturing into the spiraling structures of Mars Volta. Throughout all the twisting and turning, the band keeps their ghostly vibe in the background, resulting on an album that is as weird as it is xpansive.
FLEUVE is due 20th of October 2017 on Weyrd Son Records. Check out the whole thing below right now.
