Punknews is pumped to give you a late-evening premiere of Nerdlinger's new album Happy Place! Why so late? Well since the boys are from Down Under, punks in Australia will be just waking up, while those in North America will just be heading out for the night, right?
Featuring fourteen songs chock full of 90's style melodic punk, we are bringing this album to your ears a full three days before its official release on July 13th. Pre-orders are still going over at Aussie label PEE RECORDS, with vinyl being released in their respective regions by Disconnect Disconnect Records in the UK and Thousand Islands Records in North America.
Guitarist Daniel Antix has this to say about the album:
Recording Happy Place was a long process. We did everything ourselves in between a lot of touring (both in Australia and Japan). We didn’t have the luxury of sitting down for 3 weeks and recording everything in one hit, because of that we really had to put a lot of time and effort into maintaining continuity (which took extra time!).
We called the record Happy Place because no matter what bullshit we had going on in our own lives we could always turn to the music and each other to get us through it.
Nerdlinger will be playing a series of gigs in their home country over the summer in support of the new album before taking the long flight over to the USA for an appearance at this year's The Fest 17. You can check out all of those dates, and the new album in full, below.
