Today, Punknews is pleased to debut the new track by Night Witch!
"Disrupt" is a frikkin skullcracker. The band takes the rushing onslaught of Discharge and then adds some barbwire with Crass-ic vocals and a generally frantic sound. The is the kind of punk rock that makes you throw a brick through a CEO's window. That is to say, this is good stuff.
Speaking to Punknews, vocalist Rosie said, "This song is about liberals who say they care about oppressed groups of people but then get upset when those same oppressed groups begin fighting against oppression by taking action. It’s incredibly frustrating working with people who still trust that the system will help us or that we can fight alongside politicians who are just in it for ego and power. I sometimes feel like a hypocrite for working with an organization that promotes this ideology so this song is a reminder to myself not to be complacent in blind liberal apathy "
The band's new album Who's Next is out August 31 and you can pick it up here. Meanwhile, check out "Disrupt" below, right now!
