This Autumn, Apple will release its new operating system, 10.15 Catalina. That system does not include iTunes, which has been a core feature of Apple products for over a decade. The functions of the application will now be handled across different applications on the Apple operating system and will no longer have a central hub for media. The new functions are trio of desktop apps called Music, TV and Podcasts. Apple added that users will still be able to purchase and download songs through iTunes' Music store within the Music app, and can buy movies and TV shows in the Apple TV app. iTunes gift cards will stay active. Further, the program will continue to run on windows based systems. Still, as of this Fall, the company will stop supporting the application on Apple devices.
