us "Vancouver's most prominent straight edge hardcore band Burden has called it quits. Since the bands conception in 1997 they've put out two full-lengths and numerous EPs, and toured North America and Europe extensively."
Click below for a statement from the band and information on their final show, which is this Saturday in Langley, BC.
- Hello everyone. Sorry to break the bad news, but on Wednesday, November 12, '03. Burden broke up. We acomplished a lot more in the six and a half years we were a band, than we had ever dreamed of, and we'd like to thank everyone who ever supported us, bought a shirt, record or CD, or just sang along. Also to everyone who did a show, gave us a place to stay, an interview, or included Burden on their compilation, fanzine or just helped us out, especially Ben Gottschalk and Andreas Werner of Dead Serious Recordings, you have our eternal gratitude. The fond memories I have of meeting so many awesome kids, and awesome shows touring through Canada, The USA, and especially Europe, will last a lifetime, and are one's I will forever look back on with pride. Thank you all for making it possible! Take care, and I hope to see you all again in the future. Keep in touch.
