Billboard is reporting on a pair of Joe Strummer / The Clash tribute shows coming up this month, one in New York and one in Chicago. The NYC show is titled a Celebration of the Music of Joe Strummer and will be held on December 22nd at Irving Plaza. The show features Jesse Malin (ex D Generation), Ted Leo, Clem Snide, Hammel On Trial and others. Tickets are 15 dollars and proceeds will benefit the Strummerville charity started by Strummer's widow.

A show will also take place in Chicago at December 16. Chicago Calling: A Very Special Clash Christmas will happen at Schubas Tavern and feature former Wilco member Jay Bennett, as well as local musicians and special guests. The event will cost 10 dollars to get in and will benefit the Carole Robinson Center for Learning.
