What has been rumored for some time has been confirmed by AZCentral.com in a new article on the band - Jimmy Eat World has removed longtime friend and producer Mark Trombino from the recording process of the group's new album. Drummer Zach Lind was quoted as saying:

"In the middle of working on this (new) record, we really felt we needed some kind of fresh perspective. We were relying on our relationship with Mark too much."

Singer Jim Adkins announced that the new record will now be produced by Gil Norton [Foo Fighters, Dashboard Confessional, The Distillers]. The as-yet-untitled followup to 2001's Bleed American/self-titled disc is now scheduled to come out this Summer. To read the full article, click here.
