A couple of things about Weezer; First of all, they've picked a producer for their upcoming (April 2001) record: Ric Ocasek, who some of you might remember as the guy who produced Weezer's self-titled debut. He also was the songwriter for an pop band called the Cars, who, you might remember, were covered in the medly at the end of No Use for a Name's Leche Con Carne (among other things I'm sure).
Also, (and this is very cool), Dead Droid Records is producing a tribute compilation of Weezer songs; among the participants are a diverse set of bands including Grade, New Found Glory, and Reggie and the Full Effect. It's called Rock Music, and it should be out soon. Suffice to say, I'm pretty stoked on this.
