Saddle Creek Records will spend the month of May releasing side projects of Saddle Creek band members.

First up is the new Broken Spindles disc fulfilled/complete, out on May 4th. Broken Spindles is the solo project of Joel Petersen, best known for his work in the Faint. The album is described as "a seamless marriage of electronic and organic elements, equipped with a diversity of songwriting that will appeal to fans of "Fragile"-era Nine Inch Nails and Eric Satie alike."

The second release this May will come from The Good Life, better known as Tim Kasher of Cursive's "other" band. The group will be releasing a 10"/CDEP entitled Lovers Need Lawyers on May 18th. Described as "poppy, catchy doses of malice and ill will, sing-along anthems of divorce and disillusionment, liquor-soaked lounge as interpreted by Dexy's Midnight Runners", the EP is a precursor to the band's new full length, scheduled for an August release.
