Happy Sluttering! That's right, May 4th is now the unofficial Jawbreaker holiday. For those of you not familiar with this, there's a song on Jawbreaker's "Dear You" entitled "Sluttering (May 4th)." So, what better way to celebrate all that Jawbreaker is than by throwing a holiday in their honor? The Jawbreaker Live MP3 Shows Page is running its final installment in a three part, 75+ minute phone interview with former Jawbreaker bassist Chris Bauermeister. Make sure you listen to the ENTIRE interview to get the FULL effect of it all. I promise you, it's something not to be missed.
Also, by the end of this week you can expect the official Blackball Records website to be born anew with a long awaited update and overhaul. "Basically, what we had to do is send the site to fat camp," said Webmaster Jason Betrue. "We knew it would be hard on [blackballrecords.com], but we all agreed it was the best thing, and we're confident that when it gets back it's going to look and FEEL great."
In addition to a "much groovier look," Betrue also promises that new content and features will be added in the coming months. "I think it's time we started catering to the fans a little more," added Betrue. "The folks on the Black Board have been great, so we have a few things in development that I think will make the site more dynamic and give the Jawbreaker fans a reason to keep checking back regularly."
The maintainer of the aforementioned Live Jawbreaker page added this:
On a quick note, if your download happens to be going at an extremely slow transfer rate, please stop the download and continue it at a later time. It's all in zip format so nothing can be streamed, I just don't want the bandwidth (which is limited to some extent) being killed and losing the site again for an undeterminable amount of time."
