A-F Records band Much The Same have announced that their drummer Mook has left the group. He has already been replaced with Jevin, formerly of Form Follows Failure.
After 5 years and helping get this band off the ground, Mook has decided to leave Much The Same. It seems that he hasn't been enjoying this for a while and decided he would rather pursue a career as a booking agent, which he has a bright future in at the OMG Universal agency. He will also be playing drums for FIRST CLASS, which many of you know is (now totally) made up of ex-MTS members! These guys are great and we all wish Mook the best of luck and happiness in his new life.
Dan, Franky and I (Gunner) want to thank Mook for his years of hard work and dedication to this band, even through a number of times that we know he wasn't happy, he stuck it out and proved himself to be amazingly loyal. Mook worked harder for this band than the 3 of us combined, but luckily he will continue to be our booking agent, and in that way keep an active role in the progress of Much The Same. Thanks a lot, buddy, we wouldn't have gotten this far without you!
With that said, we'd like to welcome our friend Jevin, former drummer of St. Louis band FORM FOLLOWS FAILURE, as our new drummer! We've known Jevin and his band for a while and they were a very talented bunch, so when we heard they broke up recently, it made sense to get him up here to try out. The audition this past weekend went amazingly and Jevin proved himself immidiately ready to play shows and tour, already having learned all the songs to near perfection! As sad as we are to lose Mook, we can happily say that this will not slow us down; in fact, starting with Warped Tour you should see a steady increase in the amount of touring we do! We also suggest clicking the link to his band and listening to "Lesson Never Learned" for a sample of Jevin's skills!
