Billboard is reporting that a disc of recently discovered, previously unheard demos from The Clash's London Calling will be included in the upcoming Legacy edition of the album. A track list for these demos has not yet been released, but it is speculated that they include songs that did not make the final cut of the classic album. The demo material was discovered in storage belonging to guitarist Mick Jones.
The release will be titled London Calling: The 25th Anniversary Edition and will be released on September 21st by Epic. It will include a DVD with a 45 minute documentary created by longime biographer Don Letts. It features recording studio footage, previously unreleased live footage, and interviews with Joe Strummer, Mick Jones, Topper Headon and Paul Simonon as well as a conversation band manager Kosmo Vinyl. The edition's liner notes will feature full song lyrics, a new essay and photos by photographer Pennie Smith.
