Watashi Wa has called it quits. Here's the band's statement:

"we have some sad news. im not really sure of the best way to say it, but im sure there have been rumors floating around. its been almost 8 years being in this band and today we officially are done being a full time band. this means we will not be putting out any more records and we will not be touring. we thank you all so much for your support. and we hope that whatever the future holds for us four guys that we will be able to see you all again. we will still be playing some shows this month and next month and continue to write in our journals for a little while longer. God bless all of you. and thank you all so much."

The band's most recent record, The Love Of Life [review], came out last year via Tooth & Nail. No final shows have been announced as of yet.
