Tonight Dispatches brings you the second installment from The Measure [SA] as they continue on their first full US tour in support of 2008's One Chapter in the Book: A Collection of Standard Waits and Measurements. Lauren wrote in a few days ago, while today's episode comes courtesy of Fid.
Our latest contributor to Dispatches is Off with Their Heads' Ryan Young. The band recently got back from Europe, played Punk Rock Bowling, and are now working their way throughout the United States. The band released From The Bottom last year and will issue their second compilation of singles, The '69 Sound on No Idea Records some time in 2009.
Our Dispatches series with Lewd Acts continues tonight as we bring you the second entry from vocalist Tyler Densley. The band is scheduled to play Baltimore this evening and will be working their way South with a stop in Richmond tomorrow. For a complete list of tour dates, click here. Our second series of Dispatches this week come courtesy of The Measure [SA]. Despite having released a full-length, 2007's Historical Fiction as well as a slew of 7" which were recently compiled in 2008's One Chapter in the Book: A Collection of Standard Waits and Measurements, the band is just now embarking on their first full US tour. Stay tuned for the rest of the week as The Measure [SA] bring us their stories from tour, including tonight's entry from co-vocalist/guitarist Lauren Measure.
We're excited to be introducing a new feature here at Punknews - Dispatches. Starting tonight we will be bringing you tour blogs from a number of bands as they tour North America, Europe, Asia and the world over. Each week we hope to have one or two bands bringing you stories from the road.
Our first installment comes from San Diego's Lewd Acts, who are currently touring the United States. The band released a split 7" with Hour of the Wolf in 2008 and is preparing to release a new full length on Deathwish in the near future. The band's vocalist, Tyler Densley, checks in today with a recap on the weekend.
