The Æffect / The Constantines

Okay, I've been slacking on the whole MP3 of the week thing, I apologize. Here's 2 for your enjoyment.
First up is Gainesville, FL's the Æffect. This song is a new demo of theirs that will get your ass shaking and get you throwing away the Faint's discography. Check it.
The Æffect - Burning In The Bed On Fire
For more info on the Æffect, go to TheÆffect.com.

But wait, that's not all! Adam has decided to give us an MP3 of the week, as well!
"The Constantines are from my adopted home of Guelph, Ontario (although they've relocated to Toronto). The Canadian music press has thrown a lot of hype behind their debut CD and EP. This track's from their EP "Modern Sinner, Nervous Man" on Suicide Squeeze Records. Check out why the band has critics name-dropping both Fugazi and Bruce Springsteen about the same band." - adam

Elliott

Elliott is *finally* back in the swing of things, recording and touring in the near future. This moody, semi-electronic track is off the limited-edition "Louisville is for Lovers" compilation and is exclusive to there:
Elliott - Bleed In, Breathe Out
The band says that this song will also be on their highly anticipated new album, but it will be almost completely reworked. For more info on Elliott, head on over to ElliottInTransit.com. To view the band's upcoming tourdates with the Liars Academy and Christiansen, click READ MORE. Lastly, to keep up-to-date with the band, join their Yahoo! Saturday Supercade

Every band, no matter how forgettable, seems able to produce at least one completely kick ass, "signature" song. This would be Saturday Supercade's:
Saturday Supercade - Leave It Like This
Want a description? Imagine the singer of Millencolin fronting an amalgamation of old Saves the Day and old Alkaline Trio. Toe tapping hand clapping good times. For more info on Saturday Supercade, head on over to TheCade.com.

The Killingtons - All My Friends Are Vampires
This song rules. Download it, you'll see. But since it's a new week, I must have a new MP3, too:

The Killingtons

In tribute to the band since they just broke up [read the story below if you haven't already], here is one of the best tracks off the band's only full length album:
The Killingtons - All My Friends Are Vampires
This has a killer guitar line, and J.K.'s vocals have rarely sounded better. If you wanted to define "emo rock," this would be it, as far as I'm concerned. Check out the band's website if you want more info on the now-defunct group.
UPDATE: Okay, I got a full MP3 up. Check it out, it rules.
UPDATE 2: Had to take down the MP3 temporarily; bandwidth issues prevail - Aubin
UPDATE 3: Man, you're probably sick of these now. Anyways, a clip of the song is now up, hopefully sometime soon I can get the whole song up. - Scott
