According to label founder and owner Chris Romano:
"The record label was born out of a failed partnership. I realized no one knows what I am thinking better than I do and I don't trust anyone else to get things done to everyones satisfaction. The first release was to be an anthology CD from The Overdrives, but that failed to see light of day because the singer/guitarist decided to disband the band and join Bigwig. Thankfully ex-members of The Overdrives solidified an existing band called Ritter and their debut EP became the labels first release."
