Kingston, NY's Slugworth has made their self-titled debut available for free via Punkbuttons Records. You can grab it here. Make sure to keep your eyes open for a "Hidden Easter Egg" within the site. It will take you to a 5 song E.P. That was recorded a few years later but never released.

Cry of the Afflicted, Unwelcome Guests, Heavy Hearted

Kelowna BC's Cry of the Afflicted has posted another song from their upcoming Solid State debut. You can check out "A Scar Filled Sky" along with two other tracks via the band's MySpace page. The group's new record The Unveiling hits stores in Canada and the US on August 14th.

Buffalo, NY's Unwelcome Guests have posted two new tracks online via MySpace. "Stumbling Onto The Truth" will be featured on an upcoming split 7" with Annie Saunders of This Is My Fist, entitled Colonel Mustard Vs. Bluey and will be released on Art of The Underground. "I Wanna Get Drunk Tonight" will also see the light of day in vinyl form on a split with Orphan Choir.

Rochester, NY hardcore band Heavy Hearted, which features ex and current members of Buried Alive, Roses are Read and Polar Bear Club, have posted a new song off there upcoming six song EP. You can check out "Before The Storm" at MySpace. It was recorded at Red Booth Studios in Medina NY and mixed by Scott Crouse of Earth Crisis.

Barlights, Secret Wars, The Malheruex

Philadelphia's Barlights have posted two tracks from their upcoming 7" / EP titled Wild Eyes For Wild Hearts. You can check out "Unbreak My Heart" and "Midnight" at their MySpace page. The tracks are currently being mastered at Derron Nuhfer's Sarlaac Studios in Gainesville, FL. A full length is in the cards as well.

Simi Valley, CA 's Secret Wars have posted the demo track "Armed to the Teeth" MySpace page. The song will end up on their full length It Costs A Lot To Look This Cheap. The group is currently finishing up the writing and plans to hit the studio in late 2007 to record. This is also where I mention the Beyonder to prove my nerdness.

California's The Malheruex have posted songs from their new self-titled EP to their MySpace page. The five piece sites Emery, Minus the Bear and Spitalfield as influences.

The Appreciation, Procession Came Opposite, Secret Wars

Powerpop/Synth-Core Band The Appreciation Post are streaming their debut EP Brighter Sides (produced by Mike Poorman) for free on their Myspace Page. They are also looking for some help with booking a fall tour, you can check out the proposed route on their Blog.

Procession Came Opposite have posted a music video for the song "Tape Of Reason" from their E.P. Are We Getting Through?. The video can be found here on YouTube.

Emilia, Harvest Earth Records, Verus

Unsigned band Emilia recently recorded with Ed Rose in Kansas for their new EP. Ryan Pope from the Get Up Kids and Nate Harold from Waking Ashland both played on the record. You can check out a new track on their MySpace page.

Harvest Earth Records has uploaded a label sampler to PureVolume page. You can sample two songs from every one of their releases, including brand new songs from the upcoming AXP album entitled Dead Ends, Dead Friends. Check it out here.

Daniel Torres (Codename: Rocky, Red Letter M) has joined forces with Adrian Garcia (Cry Havoc) to form Verus. The project is self-described as being "an alternative band from the 90's, trying to sound like the 70's and 80's" and will be releasing their debut EP, The Seas Of Depravity, on October 14th. The debut was produced by Eugene Perreras (New Years Day, Homegrown). Three tracks from the release can be heard on their MySpace page.

Long Island, NY hardcore act Up the Fury (former members of This Is Hell and the Backup Plan) have posted a new demo song, the finished version of which will appear on their upcoming full-length Behind Every Mind, which will be recorded soon with Latterman vocalist / guitarist Phil Douglas producing for a fall Detonate Records release. The song is available at the label's MySpace page.

Dallas, Texas ska-punk act Detonate has released a new 20 song full length titled Television. You can check out two songs from the new release along with upcoming tour dates via their MySpace page.

Swedish hardcore act the Regulations have posted two songs to their MySpace page from their upcoming record Different Needs. The band is headed to the US and Canada for a tour this August, you can check out all the current dates and info via Havoc Records.

Fade Away Jumper, Syracuse Me, November 5, 1955

Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island based Syracuse Me are currently competing in a contest to win an opening slot for Aerosmith when the classic rock act visits PEI for a festival. You can check out some of the band's music via MySpace and vote for them at radio station Magic 93's website.

Boston based post-hardcore outfit November 5, 1955 has posted a new song online entitled "We Are." It will appear on their currently untitled new full length, which is due later this year. You can find the song over at MySpace.

Saginaw, Michigan's Fade Away Jumper has posted four songs from their debut Capeside Records full length Banner Year . The band recently saw the departure of guitarist Keenan, who is currently playing bass in Fight It Out. Danny from Down Buy Not Out has stepped in to play guitar for Fade Away Jumper.

Vultures United, Public Access, Battle!

Vultures United has posted three new demo tracks. Formerly known as Grave For the Fireflies, the rechristened band has posted a cover of the Murder City Devils' "Dance Hall Music" and two originals on their MySpace page. Expect an EP produced by Paul Miner (Some Girls, Death By Stereo, AFI) this fall.

Albany, NY "anti-ska" act Public Access has completed tracking five new songs. The new recordings include four originals plus a cover of Slayer's "Raining Blood." The band plans to release the material this fall in various formats, including a split 7". You can check out some of their past recordings via MySpace.

Gainesville, FL hardcore/punk band Battle! will hit the road this month for a number of dates with Virginia's Knucklepuck. The band has a number of songs streaming via MySpace from their recent Outlet released full length. Head there for all the latest tour dates as well.

Park drummer Miles Logan has unveiled the newest demo from his new project Wise and Burn. You can hear it at their PureVolume page.

St. Louis's So Many Dynamos will begin recording with Chris Walla from Death Cab For Cutie at Tiny Telephone Studio in San Francisco in early July. They will be recording the follow-up to Flashlights and there is no word yet on what label will be releasing it.

Indianapolis ska punk band Lockstep has posted a new song to their myspace page to get ready for their upcoming shows with NJ ska band Legitimate Business and LA's Suicide Holiday. You can hear "Lightroom" at their MySpace page.

Stepsonday, Floormodel, Scenes From a Movie

LA indie pop/rock band Stepsonday are streaming their new LP Little Light via the band's PureVolume page. The 8 song record was produced by Nick Rucker (Yelloward, Rock Kills Kid, Plain White T's).

Jeff Caudill of Gameface has a new band, dubbed Floormodel, with David Stoll of Germany's Leniah. The electronic duo make music in the online span between Cologne, Germany and Los Angeles, California. Three songs from the record Random Access Memories are up on MySpace.

Charleston, WV's Scenes From A Movie have added two new songs to their PureVolume page. The band recently released their new CD Pulse and will appear on select dates of this year's Warped Tour.

Yuma, Arizona based Pride Before the Fall have new demo recordings online via their MySpace site. The three piece was recently in the studio with plans to release a demo EP in July.

Ann Arbor / Detroit based ska-punk band We Are The Union have independently released their new full length Who We Are. Bouncing Betty records have signed Chicago's the Scissors. The band recently appeared on the Pop-Punk's Not Dead compilation. BB records will be reissuing their recent LP VIVA, recorded with Matt Allison at Atlas Studios, as well as their unreleased debut Tijeras. Expect a new EP soon.

Cosmonaut, Made in Canada, Supreme Commander / Alive at Last

Murrieta, CA's Cosmonaut, which features former Finch member Nate Barcalow, has posted new music to their MySpace page.

Pop-punk act Made In Canada, who were as a matter of fact made in Youngstown, OH, have a number of songs online via PureVolume and MySpace, or so a die hard fan of theirs tells us. Personally I think they're named after the late 90s Rick Mercer sitcom.

Washington DC's Supreme Commander and New Jersey's Alive At Last have released a split full-length CD on NJ's Bishop19 Records. Music from the 12 song collection can be found on the label's MySpace page.

The Fall The Rise, Counterfit, Broken Needle

Birmingham's based band The Fall, The Rise have posted a video for their song "Bite Your Tongue and Walk Away." The track comes from their debut full length Interlopers', due out on Black Records soon. The video was directed by Adam Powell.

San Diego's Counterfit have posted a new song titled "The Short Weekend Begins With Longing" from their posthumous DVD/CD Managing the Details of an Undertakin. The record hit stores in late May via One Bad Landing.

Benji Cossa, (Damn) This Desert Air, Stuck Lucky

Brooklyn's Benji Cossa will release his second studio album Between the Blue and the Green on June 19th via Serious Business Records. The work is described as a mix of "outsider-folk, classic AM pop, lo-fi indie rock, and roots music." The label has out the song "Sunset" online for download.

(Damn) This Desert Air features former members of a number of bands including Ex Number Five, Instruction, Elemae, Nora, Errortype: 11 and Merciana. The band recently uploaded new music to their MySpace site.

Nashville's Stuck Lucky have released a split LP with Tampa's Arm The Poor We Never Sleep. Each band contributes five songs, with Arm The Poor including their entire From America EP and Stuck Lucky including three new songs and two re-recorded versions of past tracks. Tracks off of the new Aeroplane, 1929 album The Holy Ghost have been posted on the bands myspace and the Topshelf Records myspace. The band will be hitting the road in June 21st to support the release of the album.
