SecondShot, Caspian, Joy Of Sex

Michigan-via-California's SecondShot have finished their new record Bland Finale with Ryan Greene. It will be out in Japan in late August and elsewhere soon after. The band will tour Japan in September with Nerf Herder and Useless ID. Afterwards they'll hit Europe with UncommonMenFromMars. The band has two new songs from the record online at MySpace.

Beverly, Massachusetts' instrumental act Caspian will be in in Europe from September 30th to October 29th in support of the European release of their 2007 release The Four Trees. The band is also getting ready to release a vinyl pressing of their 2005 debut ep You Are The Conductor. More information on that release can be found here.

Cardiff, UK three piece Joy Of Sex will release their debut self titled EP through their Robot Architect label on August 18. It will be accompanied by the free download December, Month Of Plenty released through Sound and Vision Downloads on the same day. The band claims influence from bands like Wire, Public Image Ltd, and fellow Cardiff act the Victorian English Gentlemen's Club. You can find details at MySpace.

Coptercrash Records, Four Fingers, Keith Caputo

Florida record label Coptercrash Records has returned from a hiatus and has a new release in the works. The label plans to release the new full length from Trinity, Florida's Reseptors. More details, music, and releases are in the works soon, so keep an eye on the label's MySpace page. The label has been around since 2001 and has released 17 records from bands like Transistor Transistor, The Saddest Landscape, Acedia, 1956 and Party of Helicopters.

Tromaville, New Jersey's Four Fingers are out on the road supporting their new album 69 Dudes!, which was released on Pizza War Records this past June. It is the follow up to the 2007 release TK-421. You can stream music from the record at MySpace. The band plans to hit the road in mid-August in the New England area.

Life of Agony frontman Keith Caputo will tour this August with Fairmont. The tour kicks off this Tuesday in Asbury Park, New Jersey and wraps up in Hartford, CT on the 25th. Check Keith's website for dates and details.

Throw, Hear The Sirens, The Matadors of Shame

Manila, Philippines based hardcore punk group Throw recently released their sophomore album Unwavering via Counterflow Records. You can preview some of the music online at the band's MySpace page. The band features vocalist / guitarist Al Dimalanta (of Dead Ends), guitarist Albert Ascona (also of The Beauty of Doubt), bassist Dennis Maniego and drummer Spyk.

The East Bay's Hear The Sirens have finished recording their debut full length titled Rebel Hearts, Lost. The record was tracked at Nu-Tone Studios in Pittsburg, California, a studio used in the past by Green Day, Broadway Calls, and Dillinger Four. The record is expected in the fall and you can preview a demo version of one of the songs at MySpace.

Houston, Texas' The Matadors Of Shame have their entire discography online to download. You can find a link over at their MySpace page. The band is planning an October tour, the details of which can be found on their page as well.

The Atom Age, Street Smart Cyclist, The Cruz Missiles

Berkeley, CA's The Atom Age have posted new demos online, the newset of which is dubbed "Baby Says." The recordings are leading up to a new 7" and full length, both of which are currently in the works. You can hear more at MySpace.

Bethlehem, Pennsylvania's Street Smart Cyclist will play their final show in Allentown, PA on August 31st at Jan's Room. They'll be sharing the stage with Yo Man Go, who are all calling it quits that night.

Santa Cruz / Santa Rosa, California's The Cruz Missiles will release their new LP The Year Of The Rat this winter via the newly formed Rise Again Records. You can download music from the band via MySpace.

San Francisco skate rock act Minus-One will release their first full length CD The Kids Dont Skate Here on DC-Jam Records in Mid September. The trio will begin touring both the US and Europe on Sept 22. Dates and venues will be announced soon via MySpace.

Flint, Michigan's Fuckin' Gnarly have teamed up with The Political Party to release a free digital EP this fall along with their first 7" early next year. The band is set to hit the road this August, playing shows with bands like the Menzingers and After The Fall. Check their MySpace page for details

Californian act Madison Bloodbath has released the first video from their upcoming full-length Gittin' Loose With Madison Bloodbath. The clip features the song "The A.L. Is A Junior Circuit" and can be viewed in HD at Vimeo. A.D.D. Records will be releasing the new record.

Detroit's That Was Something have posted their new song "She Is The West Coast" from their upcoming EP Down, But Not Out. The new work was produced by Rob Freeman (Hit The Lights, Cobra Starship). This is also the band's first song available that features their new vocalist.

Orlando, Florida's Crisis in Hollywood will hit the studio in August to record their sophomore album for the Financial Records label. Anthony Raneri of Bayside will produce. The band commented "It's going to lean towards pop/punk for sure, as we all love a great hook, but we're looking to put out an album a metal head, a punk, and an indie rocker can all appreciate." The new record will follow up Between the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea, which was released last year.

Freshly dropped from Stolen Transmission records and currently label less, Sacramento's Bright Light Fever have finished their new record Red Hands In Holy Water. The band is selling download cards at shows that give access not only to the new record, but to every song the band's ever recorded.

Rob Rampy, longtime drummer for Dirty Rotten Imbeciles has joined Tampa, Florida based Pig Pen. The band has begun writing new material with the drummer for a future release by New Anthem Records. Tallahassee, Florida's Lipona have a new song online from their upcoming untitled EP. The self-produced release will be released by the band at some point in the near future. The new song is titled "Tragedy of The Commons" and can be downloaded at MySpace or Last.fm. .

Cut Copy, Partners In 818, Strike Orange

Melbourne, Australia's Cut Copy have announced a co-headlining tour with Sydney's Presets. The two electronic duo's plan to tour North America in mid-September, beginning in Mexico and weaving its way across the States and up into Canada. The band is currently finishing up some summer tour dates and European festival apperances in support of last year's In Ghost Colours.

Prescott, Arizona based Partners In 818 have released a new song from their upcoming EP A Well Lit Place For Shady People. Expect a release later this year on Satiated Records. Partners In 818 recently released a split 7" with folk-punk duo Andrew Jackson Jihad. You can check out the music at MySpace.

Rutland, Vermont's Strike Orange has announced that they will play an upcoming rally for presidential candidate Barak Obama. The band got the campaign's interest through their preformace at last month's Peace, Punk and Metal Festival 2008 to raise money for Darfur. More details can be found on their MySpace page. The band, formerly known as Orange Juice, boasts six albums worth of material despite it's members only having a median age of 20 years old.

Elephant March, Straight Jacket 4 Nixon, Longway

Half of the now defunct Chicago act Skies We Built have formed a new band called Elephant March. A song from the new group is available to download via MySpace, expect it to appear on an EP that's in the works now.

Darrell Qualls, formerly of the southern metal group Payback, has joined Alabama based Straight Jacket 4 Nixon. The band will head into the studio in September to record a new record for Trifekta Records. A few of the band's demos are online now at MySpace.

Old Shoe Records artist Longway, who was voted "best punk band in Orange County" at the Orange County Music Awards, will play the remaining dates of this year's Warped Tour. The band was picked by Kevin Lyman to be the BBQ band on this year's tour. The Old Shoe Records Booth at the tour will feature a free compilation CD featuring Longway, the Generators, Sederra, Los Creepers, Far From Finished and others.

Former Killtakers singer, Ben Clemons, has formed a new project. Red Sky Nights has just finished recording their Demo EP, available on vinyl September 23, and will be streaming the entire EP this week on their myspace page. The EP features Ben Kettleson from Boston based The Glow on keys.

Toronto's The Chronic have put up two songs online. Check them out on their MySpace Cheap Tragedies have posted two videos from their recent trip to Canuckistan and a few songs online. Perth, Scotland's Tragical History Tour has posted new music online at MySpace. The band will be releasing a new EP This Is Not A Luxury in August, to be followed soon after with a split LP with fellow Scottish punks 15 Minutes. The band's label Make-That-A-Take Records will also soon be issuing a compilation CD later this summer featuring bands like Ghost Mice, The Arteries, The Hijacks, Taking Chase and many more.

Members of Prescott, Arizona's Hour Of The Wolf have formed a side project titled Hot Skin. The band has posted two tracks online at MySpace.
