Superheaven have released a video for their new song “Long Gone”. The video was directed by Britain Weyant. The song is off their upcoming two-song single which will include “Numb To What Is Real” and will be out on December 10 via Blue Grape Music. Superheaven will be touring the US with The Story So Far starting later this month and released their album Ours Is Chrome in 2015. Check out the video below.
Mustard Plug played The Middle East in Cambridge, Massachusetts on November 9, 2024. During the set, the band covered Fugazi’s “Waiting Room.” You can see fan shot video below. The band released Where Did All My Friends Go? in 2023.
Pitchfork Fest will not return to Chicago in 2025. For the past 19 years, the festival has been hosted in Chicago, most recently taking place in Union park. The site stated, in part, "This decision was not made lightly. For 19 years, Pitchfork Music Festival has been a celebration of music, art, and community—a space where memories were made, voices were amplified, and the shared love of music brought us all together. The Festival, while aligned with the taste of the Pitchfork editorial team, has always been a collaborative effort, taking on a life of its own as a vital pillar of the Chicago arts scene. We are deeply grateful to the City of Chicago for being our Festival’s home for nearly two decades, to the artists who graced our stages with unforgettable performances, and to the fans who brought unmatched energy year after year."
At this point, it is not clear if there will be a pitchfork festival in 2025 in another location, or of the installment is canceled.
It may be a coincidences, but Pitchfork's announcement follows a summer where Riot fest struggled with hosting their own festival in Chicago and at Union field, with Riot Fest first announcing that it would not host its 2024 event at Union Field, and expressing annoyance with Chicago officials. After a period of negotiation, Riot fest did indeed return to Union Field in 2024. We'll keep you updated.
Public Image Limited will tour UK and Ireland in summer 2025. The fairly extended trek kicks off late May in the UK and runs all over Great Britain and Ireland. the jaunt lasts until Mid August and the band says more dates will be announced. It's dubbed "This is not the last tour." You can see the dates below.

Counterparts have announced North American tour dates for February and March. Pain of Truth, Malevolence, and Foreign Hands will be joining them on all dates. Counterparts surprise-released their EP Heaven Let Them Die earlier this month. Check out the dates below.
The David Bowie tribute ensemble, Celebrating David Bowie, is rising again, following a series of canceled USA shows from a couple of years ago. The new iteration again features Peter Murphy of Bauhaus on lead vocals. Joining Murphy is Angelo Moore of Fishbone, Kevin Armstrong, Ben Ellis, and Mat Hector (each of Iggy Pop's band), and Ron D of the Joe Bonamossa band. The tour runs through Europe/UK in early January 2025. The band will be playing tracks from across Bowie's entire career. You can see the dates below.
The mystery has been solved! After posting a cryptic message teasing something on social media yesterday, My Chemical Romance have announced a North American stadium tour for summer and fall 2025 where they will be celebrating the 17th anniversary of The Black Parade. Each show will feature a different opener including Pixies, Garbage, Devo, IDLES, Thursday, Death Cab For Cutie, and Violent Femmes. Tickets go on sale on November 15. Los Angeles-based Kills Birds have released a video for their new song “Behind”. The video was directed by Brandon Sommerhalder. The song is their first since signing with Lucky Number and will be on their upcoming EP which is due out in the spring. Kills Birds released their album Married in 2021. Check out the video below.
Alexisonfire and Underoath have announced Australian tour dates for March. Underoath will be playing their 2004 album They’re Only Chasing Safety in full along with an encore set each night. Sunrot and Body Void have announced that they will be releasing a split record. It will be out on November 20 which is Trans Day of Remembrance and all proceeds from digital sales will be donated to Black Trans Liberation . The split features three tracks from Sunrot, “Still Burning”, “Shapeshifter”, and “Kill The Cop” along with two tracks from Body Void called “Assimilation System” and “Crown of Fire”. The album art was created by Ethan McCarthy, Christopher Eustaquio, and Jesse Draxler. Sunrot released their album The Unfailing Rope in 2023. Body Void released their album Atrocity Machine in 2023. Refused have released a video for “The Deadly Rhythm”. The video was written and directed by Nils Nygardh and was released as part of the 25th anniversary of The Shape Of Punk To Come. The 25th anniversary re-issue will be out physically on March 28. The band also released a tribute album earlier this year called The Shape of Punk to Come Obliterated which featured bands including GEL, Fucked Up, Touché Amoré, Zulu, and IDLES covering songs off the album. Vial have announced that they will be releasing a re-recorded version of their 2019 debut EP Grow Up. It is called Grow The Fuck Up and will be out on November 29 via Get Better Records. The band has also released a video for the re-recorded version of “DIY or Die” which was directed and edited by Emily Nordstrom. Arms Aloft have released a video for their song “Fear and Loathing at a Bloomberg Terminal”. The song is off the band’s EP Red Lanterns - The Third EP which came out last week on US election day, November 5. Check out the video below.
It appears that My Chemical Romance are teasing something. The band posted a photo on Instagram of the Russian letters ТПК (possibly a reference to the initials of scrapped final album which was reportedly titled The Paper Kingdom) against a grey city background with the caption, “If you could be anything, what would you be?” My Chemical Romance released "Foundations of Decay" in 2022 which was their first new song since their reunion in 2019.
