Barrie-based punk rockers Heavy Petter have released a cover of “Sugar” by Bikini Kill. The song originally appeared on Bikini Kill’s 1993 album Pussy Whipped. The cover is available digitally now. Heavy Petter released their split with The Holdouts in 2022 and released their split with Lightmares in 2021. Check out the cover below.

Teens In Trouble have released a video for the live version of their song “Winter in The Trap”. The video was filmed at their show at the Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix, Arizona on March 8, 2024 by Ajapopfilms. The song is off their split with Desert Mambas which was released in 2023. Calgary-based music and arts festival Sled Island has announced that Otoboke Beaver will be their guest curators for 2025. Their special programming choices will be announced in the next few months. The band will also headline the Palace Theatre on June 21. Sled Island will take place across multiple venues in Calgary on June 18-22, 2025. The Menzingers have announced spring tour dates for the US and Toronto. Lucero and Queen of Jeans will be joining them on all dates. Tickets go on sale on December 13. Menzingers will be playing NYE shows in Ardmore, PA later this month and will be touring the UK and Europe in April. The band released their album Some Of It Was True earlier this year.
