If you're not into Beach House, then you don't wanna read anymore. Kississippi's brand of synth-pop and beat manipulations fall right in this field but with much more of a rough underground signature. There's a lot of potential shown on We Have No Future, We're All Doomed which unsurprisingly is cynical, honest but has that unflinching appeal for dream-pop lovers who just wanna hold hands watching the world burn. 

"Indigo" is the standout on offer. Its haunting melody and cerebral gaze (crafted by that percussion beat) eats at you and really emphasizes the Beach House comparison. The poppy hooks on "Googly Eyes" and the hazy vocal distortion on "This Song Used To Be About You" shake things up more and add further diversity which really make Kississippi appeal. "Greyhound" is another example of the woozy theatrics of the duo. Dramatic but intimately personal. The guitar strums are so minimal and really feel like they're just brushing over for brushing over's sake. And in this case, it's a good thing because the sparse production really helps bring out the raw character of a band that should be going places soon. Big ones. Once they continue exploring and traversing their emotions like this, it's a good bet, a safe one...to take.
