All Torn Up are known for their powerful politically driven hardcore punk. Based out of NYC, they live among some of the greatest punk bands around.  They decided to go on a three stint with Buffalo being their second stop before finishing up in Toronto. I got to chat with these guys before they went on and they were all very down to earth straight up dudes. It's nice to see that they really enjoy the music as much as the punks coming out to see them.

Going on late into the night, they took the stage after 4 locals opened the show. From the first chord they played to the last cymbal hit, they ripped through their entire set. I can honestly say that there was not a dull moment throughout their entire performance. The music hit you like a brick wall; drums were pounding with that fast paced beat we all love, guitars were heavy and driving, and Joey (vocalist) was at the top of his game. This dude can yell/scream all night long and not sound fatigued at all. Very impressive!

Their was a lot of political banter in-between songs as well. If you're a Trump supporter (which I doubt you are if you're listening to political punk), I wouldn't recommend this band to you. They definitely have a strong "rise up" type of message that they like pushing during their set. They also really enjoy engaging with the audience which made things a lot more intimate. It was a welcoming vibe that made for a great night.

If you have the chance to catch these guys on their next tour, I highly recommend checking them out. They totally killed it and won't disappoint!
