From the opening chord, it's instantly drilled into your head that this is going to be just another in a long string of power-pop records with a pinch of punk infused within. About ten seconds after you've made the conclusion above, you hear the singers voice - and you can't decide if you've stepped into the new Cranberries record or not. While the singer's voice is indeed good, it's a little hard to escape - especially for a new listener.
Ok, so spent the time downloading/buying this record, you might as well give it a fair shot. You listen through the first 4 songs and you start feeling good about your investment: the songs are catchy, the executions are well done, and the lyrical content actually means something. Then the 5th track hits, and you instantly start groaning. "Everything I Am" isn't just bad - it's straight-up annoying. This kind of sets the tone for the rest of the album, with few exceptions ("Dearest" and "Wish I Was Everything" come to mind) and it really sucks. The Cranberries influence starts to lift itself from the vocals and set on the rest of the band as well, and that's never a good thing. Overall, this is a mediocre effort from a band that had infinite potential, and it's almost unforgiving. Track Listing: 1. Do You Remember 2. Will I Make It? 3. Change 4. I'll Wait 5.
