Alkaline Trio's Hell Yes 7" is absolutely amazing, and both songs are two of the best that the band has made, period.
Side A has "Hell Yes," with the chorus in true A3 fashion going "bless me dark father, I have sinned, I've done it before and I'll do it again." This song is one of numerous masterpieces made by Matt Skiba, and if it would have been on From Here to Imfirmary, I would be calling that the best record ever made by anyone at any time.
The B-side, a Dan Andriano song, is "My Standard Break from Life." This is, as usual, a very fine compliment to a Matt Skiba tune. The guitar intros for both are very similar, but still have a very different feel to each; this is something that not many bands can pull off.
I would say "go out and buy this now!," but it is out of print from Lookout!, and I wish you good luck in finding one. When you do, it's worth it...believe me.
