Punknews is proud to premiere Tommy & The Rockets new album in full prior to its official release! The album, I Wanne be Covered, is due out May 18th, and is comprised completely of covers of some of the Ramones best tracks, albeit deconstructed the opposite way on the pop-punk spectrum into a more Beach Boys-esque/surf rock sound rather than the usual punk motif.
T&TR is primarily comprised of Danish multi-instrumentalist Thomas Stubgaard who, at times, is complimented by guest musicians for recording.
The label, Monster Zero Records, has this to say about the release:
Punknews is excited to bring you an exclusive stream of the new EP, Sunny Side Up, from Montreal's Bussieres! The album isn't out officially until tomorrow on Thousand Islands Records (pre-orders are still available here), but we're bringing it to you a day early.
Bussieres, bringing you their lightning fast skatepunk style since 2016, continues Montreal's tradition of churning out high quality music. Six heart-pounding skatepunk tracks packed into twelve minutes, they don't waste a beat while blowing your mind.
The band has this to say about the new album:
Punknews is excited to premiere the new album by Austrian nerd-punks Dorkatron. The Extra Mile EP isn't due out until next Thursday, May 17th on Monster Zero Records, but you can stream the whole thing now!
Mixing up Ramones-core, and taking the "geek" out of Nerfherder and replacing it with "dork," this pop-punk quartet sings the songs that any kid who kept their Doctor Who or Power Rangers trapper keeper well into high school can relate to.
Monster Zero has this to say about the band:
