Save Ends: 'A Book About Bad Luck' (Punknews Exclusive)

We are thrilled to bring to you a Punknews exclusive full album stream from Massachusetts punk band Save Ends. The new album is called A Book About Bad Luck and is due out October 13, 2017 on Black Numbers. A Book About Bad Luck is the sorphmore LP for the band and it features 10 brand new catchy tracks. The band will also be heading down to play a set at Gainesville, Florida's The Fest and a weekend of dates in the northeast to celebrate the release of the new album. Save Ends last released Hug Your Friends in 2016. See below to listen to A Book About Bad Luck.

The Newports release single from upcoming EP

LA's The Newports are streaming a new single from their upcoming album. "Off With My Head" comes from their debut That's Fine EP, which comes out Friday, October 20th. The band will also be playing a few gigs over the coming weeks. You can check out those dates, and the new single, below.

Broken Dead stream track from upcoming album

Hardcore act Broken Dead, out of Eugene, OR, are now streaming a new single from their upcoming album. "Extent of Pain" is the title track of the band's new extended EP, which releases this Sunday, October 16th.

Broken Dead will be supporting the album on tour, hitting up the western side of the USA. You can check out the new single, and those tour dates, below.

Action Boy release acoustic single for charity

Chicago's Action Boy have released an acoustic version of their song "Powerball" via their Bandcamp page as a name-your-price download, with all proceeds from the sale (after BC's cut) going to charity. The original, electric version of this track appeared on their LP Aging Like Milk, which dropped in October of last year.

The three charities being supported are Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC), Black and Pink Chicago, and End The Backlog.

Ces Gens-Là stream new EP in full

Compiègne, France-based trio Ces Gens-Là are now streaming the entirety of their new EP, Troisième Acte, in its entirety ahead of the official September 29th release date. As you can surmise by the title, this is the band's third release, and their first new album under current label Thousand Island Records (who re-released on CD format that band's two previously digital-only EPs).

Chalk Hands release debut EP

Brighton, UK's Chalk Hands have released their debut EP, Burrows & Other Hideouts, as a free/name-your-price download via their Bandcamp page (although, if you prefer something solid, you can also pick up a CD version).

You can check out the lead track, "Burrows," below. They will also be playing a couple of gigs in their hometown this month and next, and you can check out those dates under the stream below.

CONDITIONER release debut EP

Newfoundland-based garage punk act CONDITIONER have released their debut, self-titled EP as a name-your-price download via their Bandcamp page. You can check out the track "All Caught Up" from the album below.

Ça tire! releases new comp “Ça tire! Vol. 3”

French-Canadian punk radio show Ça tire! has released their third comp. Featuring bands from the Quebec scene such as Go Great Guns and ExHibition, along with a few from France and Belgium, you can expect a mixture of English and French throughout the comp, ça va ?

Steveo And The Crippling Addictions: “The City”

The Bad Copy has premiered Steveo And The Crippling Addictions' (featuring Steveo of The Holy Mess) new single called "The City." The track will be on the band's upcoming record Desolation Monday. The album doesn't have a set release date yet, but it will be out this fall via Say-10 Records. You can listen to the song below.

Dowzer streams 'So Much for Silver Linings' (Punknews Exclusive)

Punknews is very pleased to premiere the entire new album by Dutch quartet Dowzer. So Much for Silver Linings doesn't officially drop until this Friday, September 22nd, but you can check out the whole thing right now. With a combination of hard-driving punk rock mixed with some more upbeat mid-tempo songs, overlaid with catchy melodies and rousing harmonies from the front three, this album will scratch a lot of itches.

A lot of labels have coordinated to bring this album to you and, if you like what you hear, you can pre-order it from Shield Recordings (EU) and Umlaut Records (UK), while Waterslide Records (Japan) and Trilob Records (cassette) will have the album available on the day of release.

Dowzer will also be playing some dates throughout October and into November, including a record release gig on October 6th, and an all-dayer in London on October 15th, where they will be supporting The Bombpops. You can check out those gig dates after the album stream below.

Plan 37: “Say Goodbye”

My Fingers! My Brain! Records is streaming the new full-length from Toronto's Plan 37, titled Say Goodbye. It's the sci-fi themed punk band's debut album and was produced by Jon Drew (Fucked Up, Tokyo Police Club). Plan 37 features members of The Deforesters, Sinkin’ Ships, The Roman Line, and The Unbelievers. The record, which comes out today (September 18) features artwork by St. John’s designer Mike Feehan, who's been behind the art on recent records from Brutal Youth and Farler’s Fury.
