Save Ends: 'A Book About Bad Luck' (Punknews Exclusive)

We are thrilled to bring to you a Punknews exclusive full album stream from Massachusetts punk band Save Ends. The new album is called A Book About Bad Luck and is due out October 13, 2017 on Black Numbers. A Book About Bad Luck is the sorphmore LP for the band and it features 10 brand new catchy tracks. You can pre-order the record on coke bottle green vinyl now through the labels merch site.

The band will also be heading down to play a set at Gainesville, Florida's The Fest and a weekend of dates in the northeast to celebrate the release of the new album. Save Ends last released Hug Your Friends in 2016. See below to listen to A Book About Bad Luck.

Action Boy release acoustic single for charity

Chicago's Action Boy have released an acoustic version of their song "Powerball" via their Bandcamp page as a name-your-price download, with all proceeds from the sale (after BC's cut) going to charity. The original, electric version of this track appeared on their LP Aging Like Milk, which dropped in October of last year.

The three charities being supported are Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC), Black and Pink Chicago, and End The Backlog.

Dowzer streams 'So Much for Silver Linings' (Punknews Exclusive)

Punknews is very pleased to premiere the entire new album by Dutch quartet Dowzer. So Much for Silver Linings doesn't officially drop until this Friday, September 22nd, but you can check out the whole thing right now. With a combination of hard-driving punk rock mixed with some more upbeat mid-tempo songs, overlaid with catchy melodies and rousing harmonies from the front three, this album will scratch a lot of itches.

A lot of labels have coordinated to bring this album to you and, if you like what you hear, you can pre-order it from Shield Recordings (EU) and Umlaut Records (UK), while Waterslide Records (Japan) and Trilob Records (cassette) will have the album available on the day of release.

Dowzer will also be playing some dates throughout October and into November, including a record release gig on October 6th, and an all-dayer in London on October 15th, where they will be supporting The Bombpops. You can check out those gig dates after the album stream below.

Plan 37: “Say Goodbye”

My Fingers! My Brain! Records is streaming the new full-length from Toronto's Plan 37, titled Say Goodbye. It's the sci-fi themed punk band's debut album and was produced by Jon Drew (Fucked Up, Tokyo Police Club). Plan 37 features members of The Deforesters, Sinkin’ Ships, The Roman Line, and The Unbelievers. The record, which comes out today (September 18) features artwork by St. John’s designer Mike Feehan, who's been behind the art on recent records from Brutal Youth and Farler’s Fury.
