We asked singer Giles Roy about the track and he said it's "about the feeling of being incapable of feeling… It was written in the context of going out too much and accidentally wrecking friendships and becoming weird."

Shirley D. Pressed streaming new LP “Rust” (Punknews Exclusive)

Punknews is extremely excited to premiere the entire new LP Rust from German melodic punks Shirley D. Pressed. This fairly new band, with just a rough demo from 2014 under their belt, have put together a ferocious and energetic full-length that is sure to please fans of the late-90s Epitaph Records/Fat Wreck Chords sound. Replete with high-tempo beats, breakneck guitars, and more backing vocals than you could ever wish for, Shirley D. Pressed comes roaring out of the gate.

The street date for the album is this Friday, July 21st, via Thousand Island Records, but you can take a listen to it all right now. If you like what you hear, be sure to head over to their Bandcamp page to pre-order the album.

But, Pyrite stream entire new LP “Piss”

NYC's But, Pyrite have released their new LP, Piss, as a name-your-price download via their Bandcamp page. The album, which I'd best describe as 80s hardcore meets snot punk, packs twelve songs into a sub-20 minute album. This is the band's second LP, and a follow-up to 2015's Don't Wanna Eat it Dry.

The band will also be playing a quick tour of the eastern and Midwest USA, including an album release show on the first night in Ridgewood, NY. Some of those dates are still TBA, so be sure to check But, Pyrite's social media channels for more info closer to the dates.

In the meantime, you can check out the track "Loop Swoop Pull" from the new album, and those tour dates, below.

The band previously released a demo EP in 2014, and then began writing and composing enough songs to fill a full-length, which they began recording in late-2016.

Until that release date is announced, they have released two tracks from the album, "Astray" and "Count Me Out," both of which you can check out below.
