On Patron Saint of Disappointment, Long Island's Small Arms Dealer manage to craft a pretty catchy, melodic punk rock affair that's considerably more enjoyable and memorable than previous efforts.

Ok, so we've established that this record is, indeed, an 8. meant to rate it an 8 damnit. pretty underrated in my opinion actually. definitley a solid album start to finish. I think both albums are pretty phenomenal. I really dig this album, it's in my top 20 of the year so far... Fuck, I meant to rate this thing an 8. A friend of mine who is friends with the band gave me a burned copy back in April and I've been listening to it ever since. Great record IMO. Although my copy doesn't have the intro thats mentioned in the review. I think I'm going to have to buy the finalized version. I actually think this is a great album, but I agree with the comment of the crappy cardboard slip case. Agree with this review, better than the first one but still not that special. On a side note I ordered from Deep Elm and the CD comes in a cardboard slip case. How cheap is that? Deep Elm's really gone down hill. Oh man, I loved a Single Unifying Theory, had no idea this was coming out. |
