Lifetime recording in Brooklyn
Lifetime entered Atomic Recording Studios yesterday to begin work on what will be their first new release in almost a decade.
Promised in late June, the band is recording for their upcoming album which is due out in 2007 but will be preceded by a two track single expected in the fall. They are working with producer Jesse Cannon and mixer Steve Evetts.
The material will see a release on Decaydence Records, the Fueled by Ramen imprint owned by Fall Out Boy member Pete Wentz to which the highly influential act signed this past March.
The band recently released Somewhere in the Swamps of Jersey, a 2-disc collections album / reissue of 1992's New Age-released Background, while their last proper effort was 1997's Jersey's Best Dancers. Both were released via the band's former label, Jade Tree Records.
