Project 86 had $7,000 in band gear stolen in Phoenix. Regarding the incident, the band stated
We woke up today, excited. Then we walked out to the van and trailer to find…the lock had been clipped. The thieves got away with over $7,000.00 dollars in gear and merch. We were devastated. We then went to Guitar Center, replaced everything, and limped to the show. Broken, but not finished, we played our lives out onstage. I felt exhausted afterward, but the kind words of undying support from fans lifted spirits. Period. Tough day.
The band was not insured for their equipment that was stolen because it is as they stated "very hard to find an insurance policy that will cover a heavy rock band that tours the way Project does."
