Bomp's release schedule for 2005 is online now, with many of the bands being some of the last that Greg Shaw signed before his death. In March expect a full length from Cleveland's The Dreadful Yawns, descrobed as a "a symbiosis of Byrds, Velvet Underground, Yo La Tengo, Nick Drake… and more." Also early 2005 will see a full length from Boston's The Konks, winners of the Boston date of Little Steven's Battle Of The Bands. The label comments "Their primitive lust for the roots of heebie-jeebie have put them in a class with the Black Lips and the Milkshakes." Also Seattle's The Invisible Eyes are recording a debut this fall for a release next year.
Check the label's website for info on upcoming releases from BBQ (Mark Sultan of Les Sexareenos, etc), Glaswegian pop band The BMX Bandits and an 180 gram vinyl reissue of early mixes of Iggy & The Stooges' Raw Power material.
