Some more details have surfaced regarding the upcoming retrospective from Joe Strummer's pre-Clash band, the 101ers. The record, titled Elgin Avenue Breakdown Revisited will include all the band's recorded material, including the long out-of-print Elgin Avenue Breakdown since a limited run in 1981. The band, who only existed from 1974 to 1976 and took their name from "the squat at 101 Walterton Road where the band lived.
Strummer had planned to reissue the CD, but passed away before the project was completed. The record is being produced with the help of Joe's widow Lucinda and former 101ers drummer Richard Norther. The record is due out on June 14th via EMI/Astralwerks.
