In addition to the June 14th release of the 101ers' retrospective Elgin Avenue Breakdown Revisited, Astralwerks has announced the reissue of the soundtrack to Alex Cox's 1987 film Walker. The soundtrack was written and performed by Clash frontman Joe Strummer, who also appeared in a minor role in the film. The All Movie Guide describes Walker as a "hallucinatory bio-pic starring Ed Harris as 19th-century American adventurer William Walker, who abandoned a series of careers in law, politics, journalism, and medicine to become a soldier of fortune and eventually a Nicaraguan dictator." There's no word yet on changes to the artwork or original recording, however a July 12th release date has been confirmed.
