Stavesacre has signed to Abacus. The Southern California rock band previously released three studio albums on Tooth & Nail Records and was signed to Nitro Records for 2002's -Stavz'a'ker. The band also self-released a live DVD of a show recorded in Dallas, Texas, in 2002.

The band is currently recording its fifth full-length studio album in Los Angeles with producer Matt Hyde. The record, titled How to Live With a Curse is due out in 2006.
