Avail recently posted an update on the progress of their upcoming full length and also the recently announced reissues on Jade Tree:
The re-release of the band's Lookout-era material, which includes Dixie, 4AM Friday and Over the James has been pushed back due to problems with the artwork and layouts. According to the band, their former label did not retain the originals which makes repressing them difficult, and the band is working on recreating the art for the reissues.
The band has also reconsidered their earlier plans to record in September in a San Francisco studio. Instead, they plan to record at the Blasting Room in Fort Collins, CO in November. Bill Stevenson and Jason Livermore will be working on the record, and Avail is aiming for an April release on Fat.
For the rest of the summer, the band plans to work on new material, and other than a few shows in the vicinity of their hometown, the band will not be touring until after the release of the album.
Vocalist Tim Barry has also produced some more of his solo CDs. The first run that Barry produced in May and June sold out, and new copies can be purchased directly from him.
