Though other sources reported that the band had signed to a different label, official word has come from the band's management that Planes Mistaken for Stars has signed to Abacus Recordings.

The album is due out June 6th, 2006 and will be the follow up to Up in Them Guts which was released on No Idea. The band had this to say:

Our next record will come out 06/06/06 on Abacus Recordings, and No Idea will do the vinyl. Abacus are good eggs and if anyone has a problem with any of this start your own band or eat shit; either way try and have fun with it. Our future's so bright we gotta wear shades. See you in June.
