In a move which Pitchfork described as "continuing his quest to become this generation's Ian MacKaye," Conor Oberst's alter-ego Bright Eyes, has announced plans to release a live album via Team Love records, but only to independent retailers.
The popular Saddle Creek artist has developed a reputation for a fiercely independent ethical stance and recently cancelled a performance due to an association between a St Louis venue and media conglomerate Clear Channel.
The record, titled Motion Sickness will be distributed by the Coalition of Independent Music Stores and also available through Team Love and Think Indie. The album is comprised of fifteen tracks from the Wide Awake World tour, including several rare tracks.
Bright Eyes will continue tour this fall and winter, with upcoming dates supported by Sons & Daughters, Spoon, Feist, Magic Numbers and others.
