Sick Of It All has posted some more details about their upcoming Abacus debut.
The band will release their ninth full length, Death To Tyrants, in early 2006. The album will be recorded with Dean Baltulonis (Bouncing Souls, Give Up The Ghost, Most Precious Blood) at Atomic Studios this winter with mixing being handled by Tue Madsen (The Haunted, Heaven Shall Burn).
Tentative song titles include "Thin Skin," "Uprising Nation," "Faithless," "Make a Mark," "Die Alone," "Forked Tongue," "Machete," "Evil Schemer," "Maria White Trash" and "Take the Night Off." The band is expected 14 of 15 songs and promises "no big musical experiements here - just focusing on what we do best."
Drummer Armand Majidi also addressed their unusual choice of producer who was responsible for Revolver, the last record from The Haunted. He explained:
He's known more for metal and metal-core than hardcore, but has been a fan for a long time and is stoked to be involved. I'm really glad money isn't the only motivation behind his will to work with us. The album can only stand to benefit from his enthusiasm. Let's hope he makes it shine. A guy with his background is bound to give us an extra edge in the studio.
Shortly after completing the recording process, the band will visit the UK in February.
