The seemingly prolific Bomb the Music Industry! has posted an update regarding the writing and recording progress of their third album, Clap Your Hands Say Shut the Fuck Up. Vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Jeff Rosenstock posted the following on the band's website:

The NEW Bomb the Music Industry! album is in the process of being written and recorded. It is called CLAP YOUR HANDS SAY SHUT THE FUCK UP. That title was stolen from my friend Sierra. Sorry, Si. It's taking a little while because there's a lot of piano on this one and I have no idea how to play the piano.

The "band" released two free online albums last year: February's Album Minus Band and October's mini-album To Leave or Die in Long Island. Plans have also been finalized for a forthcoming split 7" with Rick Johnson entitled President's Day, with a release date set for February 20th on Asbestos Records and all proceeds to go towards a friend's family's medical expenses.
