Hawthorne Heights vocalist JT Woodruff's Carbon Copy Media has signed two new bands. Woodruff enlisted the aid of Mark Daily who ran Confined Records and released material by JT's previous band, A Day in the Life.
The first band is Chico, California's Brighten. The label describes the band as borrowing from both James Taylor and Jimmy Eat World. After the band wraps up on their ongoing tour in May, they will begin recording their debut for the label. Some material from their 2005 release, Ready When You Are can be found on their myspace page.
The second is Ivory which is likened to both Coldplay and U2 and play piano-driven rock. Some music can be streamed from their myspace page.
The label has distribution through Victory along with an upstream pact which allows Victory to pull successful Carbon Copy acts into Victory's roster.
