Fellow New Jersey bands Lifetime and My Chemical Romance have been officially announced as headliners for the upcoming Shirts For a Cure showcase at SXSW in Austin, Texas.
Lifetime had been announced originally, with rumours about My Chemical Romance following since then. The bill will also include Circa Survive, Drive By. Head Automatica, The Loved Ones, The Receiving End of Sirens and Hit The Lights. This free event will be held at Emo^1s on March 17th, doors open at 12:00 noon sharp.
As with all Shirts for a Cure events there will be two limited edition shirts offered one for Lifetime and one for My Chemical Romance. These shirts are VERY limited, only 240 pieces each, and should go rather quickly once they are gone they are gone for good SFAC will never reprint them.
Most recently, MCR unveiled a limited edition jacket which raised $10,000 in four days for Breast Cancer. Lifetime has been a longtime support of the SSE, having devoted many of their recent reunions to the charity.
The Shirts for a Cure Project features limited edition t-shirts from various bands to aide The Syrentha Savio Endowment (SSE) in its efforts to provide funding for chemotherapy and other medication for underprivileged women who cannot afford the growing expense of fighting breast cancer.
