Vagrant has signed the Futureheads. The label will be releasing News and Tributes, the follow up to 2004's self-titled 679 Recordings / Sire debut. The record is scheduled for release on May 29th in the UK and June 13th in North America. That album was produced by Ben Hillier.

The band is described by Amazon.com as "one of the first real punk bands to emerge in many years. With an arsenal of blisteringly fast, great songs, a strident artiness, and so much youth"

In support of the June 13th release, the band will be playing select US dates throughout the summer, including the Pitchfork Festival in Chicago this July.

The track listing was originally announced in March 2006 but has since been bolstered with the addition of three tracks from the previously released EP, Area and will only be available on the first run of the album.
